BEHIND THE SCENES:

This classic illustration of a Land Crab (Cancer Terreftris, now know as Cancer Ruricola) was published in London, 1729, in a book titled "Natural History of Carolina, Florida, and the Bahama Islands" by Mark Catesby, an English naturalist. The book is famous, as it was the first published account of flora and fauna of North America.
