Black Cat Fortune Telling Game

Regular price $28.00

DESCRIPTION:

A handcrafted replica of the historical Black Cat Fortune Telling game, first published in 1897 at Salem Mass. (home of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692 - 1693). The game includes 24 cards used to “foretell” the: Future, Present, Past, Danger, General Advice and Love Matters. Instruction sheet is included.

Each card is 3" x 4.5" and is printed on heavy card stock. The front of each card shows one of six black cat illustrations and one of four suits (hearts, clubs, diamonds, spaces), while the back of each card is printed with 24 unique lines of text. When the cards are shuffled and selected cards are laid in order, the segments of text combine to tell the persons fortune.

The game is packaged in an attractive box (5.5 x 3.5" x 1.5") with a full color print of the original 1897 game.

The Black Cat Fortune Telling game is a different from other types of fortune telling cards such as tarot cards. Several people can play as a group, with players reading each other's fortunes. There is no declared winner or loser, just much fun for all.
