DESCRIPTION:
This skeleton illustration is from the Antikamnia Medical Calendars of 1897 to 1904. It's one of a series of humorously morbid quack-medicine advertisements. The drug was sold for "Worry, Nervousness, and the Blues". It actually contained codeine and other habit-forming compounds. The company collapsed with passage of the Pure Food and Drugs Bill in 1906.
